1. Heading

Must be short, catchy, attractive and  most important topic revealing

2. By line - 

Name of the writer

 3. Introduction

Short, & comprehensive  
Startling,/Quoting/Statistical /Rhetoric
Avoid Anechdotal

4. Exposition of Topic(objective)

Present Scenario, causes, consequences, merits/advantages, demerits/disadvantages, statistical data, news, surveys, anecdotes, experiences, quotes etc

5. Conclusion (Subjective)

Suggestions, warnings, appeals, complains, queries, hopes, expectations etc.

5. Avoid 

Irrelevant matters
Repetition of same idea
Too many references (statistics, data, surveys, news etc)
Too much formal/informal tone.
Too long paragraphs/sentences.
Grammar & Spelling Errors

An Important Note

It has been quite easy to score good marks for article writing in the examination.(Class XII & X),  if you could work with the following skills 
1. Literary Creativity, 
2. A good deal of reading books, magazines and newspapers
3. Good vocabulary 
4. Ability to analyse the things, events and situations. 
5. Organisational abilities
6. Thorough knowledge of the subject,
